Cheesy Cauliflower and Macaroni Bake
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly.
Ingredients:
Prepare the vegetables and pasta
Chop the cauliflower into small florets. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Add the cauliflower florets in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
Make the cheese sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in the milk and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cheese gradually until melted and creamy. Combine the cooked macaroni and cauliflower with the cheese sauce.
Bake the dish
Transfer the macaroni and cauliflower mixture to the greased baking dish. Spread evenly and if desired, sprinkle extra cheese on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and bubbling.
Enjoy!
For a delightful presentation, serve hot with a sprinkle of parsley on top. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving, and consider adding additional cheese on top for extra flavor.
