Classic Lasagna

Gather your ingredients and preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare a baking dish ready for assembling the layers of lasagna.

Ingredients:

Cook the meat sauce

Ground beef

In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until soft. Add ground beef, brown it, then mix in chopped tomatoes and oregano. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Prepare the cheese mixture

In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, and half of the grated parmesan. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the lasagna

In your baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Add a layer of noodles, followed by the cheese mixture, then another layer of meat. Repeat the layers.

Add toppings

Finish with a layer of noodles, top with remaining meat sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella and the rest of the parmesan.

Bake the lasagna

Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
